Hello and welcome to Craftleigh Designs! 

I am Leigh and I’d like to share a little bit about my home run business.  

After 30 years of working in an engineering role , during the pandemic I took the leap to  establish my own handyman business. This quickly took of and business thrived. Being  self employed gave me the time to explore my passion of crafting and woodwork.  

What began as a hobby in my garage, quickly became much bigger. I started to sell my  handmade pieces on Etsy and to my surprise people were in awe and sales picked up  fast. Having a huge support and great reviews has inspired me to take the next step and  create my own Craftleigh Designs website.  

Looking ahead, Craftleigh Designs will not just be a business , it will be my way of life  continuing into retirement. My long awaited dream of moving to the countryside will be  spent crafting your bespoke wooden furnishings in the place that I love the most.  

Recently, my work has been inspired by my first granddaughters arrival. Creating  nursery items and personalised furnishings has been a joy to work on, and allowed me  to create many beautiful pieces for my customers to enjoy too.  

When I am not in the Craftleigh workshop, you will find me running on the lake district fells accompanied by my most helpful apprentice, Harley the Border collie! Up on the  mountains I take influence from the nature and put it into the materials and designs I use, as well as attending small village markets to gain more understanding of what the  people love to buy.  

I am excited to share my new website with you all and hope you enjoy my handmade  pieces, whether that be nursery furnishings for your new arrival or gifts for family made  with love.
